As part of the SACS Reaffirmation of Accreditation process, the university is required to create a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). The QEP is a focused course of action that must be based on empirical data, will be used to enhance student learning and will employ a forward looking approach. The QEP is aimed at undergraduate or graduate education that transforms campus culture and is measurable and accountable.
Virginia Tech's Quality Enhancement Plan is entitled "Invent Your Future". Its purpose is to enhance student learning through a first-year experience that encourages thoughtful academic planning, enhances research skills, and builds intercultural knowledge and understanding.
Mark McNamee, Senior Vice President and Provost, and Daniel Wubah, Vice President and Dean of Undergraduate Education, invite all faculty and staff to a town hall meeting to discuss the plan. Members of the QEP committee will be on hand to present the current state of the plan and solicit input on the implementation.
